The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a huge showcase for the electronics industry, highlighting the latest in appliances, displays, sensors, wearables and many more new applications. This year’s show will be held Jan. 8-11 throughout Las Vegas, and will have lots to offer people looking into flexible and printed technologies. More than 180,000 attendees are expected at this year’s CES 2019, with more than 4,400 exhibiting companies, including all of the major electronics manufacturers. From TVs and displays to autonomous vehicles and more, there is plenty to see at this year’s show. The OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association) will host a joint pavilion at Tech West, Sands Expo, Level 2, Halls A-D, Booth # 43164, with 11 OE-A member companies on hand, including the OE-A – Organic and Printed Electronics Association; Cambridge Display Technology Limited; Coatema Coating Machinery GmbH; COPT Center University of Cologne; Fraunhofer FEP; Holst Centre; IEE S.A.; InnovationLab GmbH; NovaCentrix; PolyIC GmbH & Co. KG; VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd.; and Ynvisible Interactive Inc. The OE-A will also host its Printed Electronics conference track, “Printed Electronics: Flexible, Lightweight, Smart,” on Jan. 8 in room N253 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The OE-A will host three panel discussions: • 1:00-2:00 p.m. – Driving the Future of Mobility, featuring Dr. Wolfgang Clemens, head of product management, PolyTC PolyIC GmbH & Co. SEMI will also have its own pavilion at Tech West Sands Expo, Level 2, Halls A-D, #40731, titled SEMI’s Smart Starts Here. This will feature a range of companies, including Advantest, C2MI, Chasm Advanced Materials, mCube, Mitcui Chemicals, N5 Sensors, Omron, ULVAC, Playnitride, SiWare, and Uneo. Exhibitors AerNos (Sands Expo, Level 2, Halls A-D, booth 42349) will highlight its new AerIoT nano gas sensor module for monitoring pollutants, hazardous gases and other applications. A CES 2019 Innovation Award Honoree, AerIoT is generating much interest in numerous industries. BeBop Sensors (Sands Expo, Level 1, Hall G and Venetia, booth 50908),will be on hand at CES 2019, where it will show a number of its latest flexible sensor innovations, including the Forte Wireless Data Glove, which was just honored with the TIME Magazine Best Inventions of the Year 2018. NANOCO (Tech West, Venetian Suites, Suite 30-229) will highlight the use of its CFQD FINE COLOR FILM for high-performance gaming monitors for use for gaming, video and movie streaming, online shopping, and other applications. The company will also discuss how its cadmium-free quantum dots are being used for light therapy and grow lighting. Osram (Tech West, LVCC, North Hall, Grand Lobby and Lower Level North Hall, booth 8521) will bring its latest technologies to CES 2019, with a focus on automotive lighting, horticultural sensing and lighting solutions. The company will also show textile solutions, such as lighted vests and backpacks, as well as other recent developments.
